On October 9th, the world will celebrate John Lennon’s birthday – he would have been 72 years old. Imagine how Lennon would have felt about the music industry today. What would John Lennon think of mp3s? Would he continue to release his music on vinyls? Who knows!
Maybe, like Beck, he would release an album as a sheet music book? Would he collaborate with Shakira? Would they ask him to be a judge on American Idol? Would he have been asked to be a guest singer on a Foo Fighters album?
But the question that is most interesting – would he join forces with McCartney and Ringo for a Beatles reunion?
McCartney wrote a song about the ‘what could have been’, it’s called Here Today and it’s dedicated to John Lennon.
